| Enterprise GP Holdings L.P., through its interests in publicly traded partnerships, engages in the midstream energy industry and related businesses. It operates in three segments: Enterprise Products Partners, TEPPCO, and Energy Transfer Equity. The Enterprise Products Partners segment develops pipeline and other midstream energy infrastructures in the continental United States and the Gulf of Mexico. It involves in natural gas processing business and related NGL marketing activities, as well as operates NGL pipelines and related product storage, and fractionation facilities; and operates import/export terminals. This segment also operates onshore natural gas pipeline systems, underground natural gas storage caverns, and natural gas marketing activities; and offshore natural gas pipelines, offshore crude oil pipeline systems, and multi-purpose offshore hub platforms. In addition, it operates propylene fractionation facilities, an isomerization complex, an octane production facility, and petrochemical pipeline systems. The TEPPCO segment owns and operates interstate transportation, storage, and terminalling of refined products and liquefied petroleum gases; intrastate transportation of petrochemicals; and provides terminalling and other ancillary services. It also involves in gathering, transporting, marketing, and storing crude oil, as well as distributing lubrication oils and specialty chemicals. In addition, this segment offers marine transportation services, well-testing, and crude oil gathering services. The Energy Transfer Equity segment operates natural gas gathering pipelines and processing plants, and natural gas treating facilities and conditioning facilities; and retails propane. EPE Holdings, LLC serves as the general partner of Enterprise GP Holdings. The company was founded in 2005 and is based in Houston, Texas. |
