On October 28, 2009 Xtra-Gold Resources Corp. issued a news release announcing assay results from the remaining 12 Reverse Circulation ("RC") holes on Zone 2 from the recently completed Phase II drill program at its wholly-owned Kibi Gold Trend Project, Ghana. A copy of the news release is attached to this Form 8-K as exhibit 99.1.
