As of December 31, 2007, the company had approximately 6,178 megawatts of electricity generating capacity, as well as owned 6,100 miles of transmission lines, 23,700 miles of overhead distribution lines, and 3,900 miles of underground distribution lines. It served approximately 674,000 customers in Kansas, including the cities of Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan, Salina, Hutchinson, and Wichita.
