The company operates in two segments, Recreational Vehicles and Housing. The Recreational Vehicles segment manufactures and distributes motorhomes, the mobile dwellings built on heavy-duty motor vehicle chassis; travel trailers, the non-motorized mobile dwelling, which is designed to be towed behind another vehicle; and camping trailers that are smaller towed units constructed with sidewalls. It offers its products under the Coachmen, Georgie Boy, Adrenaline, Sportscoach, and Viking brand names, and markets through independent dealers and a company-owned retail dealership. The Housing segment manufactures and distributes system-built modules for single-family residences, multi-family duplexes, apartments, condominiums, and hotels, as well as specialized structures for military use under the All American Homes, Mod-U-Kraf, and All American Building Systems brand names in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, and North Carolina. It also designs and markets system-built living facilities, such as single-family home subdivisions, townhouses, senior housing facilities, and military housing facilities. This segment markets its products to builders. Coachmen Industries was founded in 1964 and is based in Middlebury, Indiana.
