FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) -- Electrical equipment maker Baldor Electric Co. said Tuesday its board of directors promoted Jeffery Hubert to vice president of generators, effective Jan. 1.

Hubert will oversee all of Baldor's generator business, including sales, engineering and manufacturing. He was most recently general manager of generators.

Shares of Baldor fell 40 cents to $27.02 in afternoon trading.
